Stop Smoking Health Benefits

Long time smokers often wonder about the actual stop smoking health benefits. They think the negative health effects of smoking have already taken place. Even if you can't completely take away the damage caused by years of smoking you can get most of your health back. If you are an old smoker it might be a bit harder to repair the damage but if you are still young you will be able to completely recover after some time.

24 hours after quitting smoking you will notice the first health benefits:

  • You will notice your body temperature increases when your blood circulation starts to return
  • If you measure your pulse you will already see it slightly decreased

After one week:

  • Your chance to get a heart attack have decreased
  • You will be able to taste more flavors
  • The sensation of smell slowly returns (this is hopefully good)

Not smoked for a month:

  • Your lungs are returning to a normal state again. You can start running again
  • Your sense of taste and smell will keep on improving
  • Your body temperature should have returned to normal. Blood circulation is almost restored

1 year later:

  • Allergies and asthma will not be as bad anymore and can be controlled in a much better way
  • Your skin will look more healthy and alive. Wrinkles will slowly disappear

These are the most important health benefits from stopping to smoke. This should get most smokers motivated to try and stop smoking before its too late. Remember that it is never too late to stop smoking. The body will be able to repair itself if you give it a chance. When I managed to stop smoking, I used this list as a motivation and had it in my calendar. In the beginning when it is really tough it is great to look at all the benefits you get after already one week. This list only covers the first year, but there are more stop smoking health benefits to come even after 5-10 years.

I managed to stop smoking on my third attempt. I used the Smoke Deter spray to take away my nicotine craving and to manage the first tough weeks. To find more information and personal reviews of the Smoke Deter spray, have a look at: http://www.smokedeter-review.com
